Rabbit UPDATE! (March 8th, 2007):
The abscess burst a few weeks ago, much to the surprise of the vet. I took Mocha in a few days after I had squeezed all the gunk out, and they cleaned it up really nicely and gave me more medication for him. Mocha will still be on antibiotics and stomach medicine. He's been taken off pain killers, and given some topical meds for the wound itself. So far, things are healing up nicely. I just hope it won't reabscess. Hopefully, since he'll be on antibiotics long term, that will help things not reform.
That day was rough for Mocha. On the way home from the animal hospital, I was rear ended. My car escaped unscathed (aside from minor scratches) but the car who hit me was wrecked. He couldn't even drive it from the scene. Mocha was knocked out of his box and onto the floor. But after I put him back in his box, he just kept munching on his veggies.

UPDATE (February 8th 2007):
I think the abscess is getting a teeeeeny bit smaller, so the meds have been helping to at least slow down the growth and make my bunny more comfortable.
Still, it isn't a permanent solution, so if there is any way you can help, I would much appreciate it. Commissions are still open, or you can link to this journal entry if you see fit.

My rabbit has an abscess on his jaw.
Surgery would cost between 700 and 900 dollars.
That's way more than I have at the moment.
Right now, I have him on home treatment with antibiotic injections and pain killers.
With school expenses (parking pass is 216 dollars a semester SDfSglskflskjf, and I don't want to mention books...) and other life needs, I just don't have the money to afford his surgery.
I am asking my watchers to commission me. I don't think I'll be able to raise much money, but it would help with his medication costs, as well as allow me some breathing room with my small income.
